The bilateral cooperation between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Burkina Faso is an exemplary partnership since the re-establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries in February 1994.
The achieved results in the implementation of the bilateral cooperation programs are very tangible and people in Burkina Faso are proud of it.
Such dynamic cooperation between the two countries has led to the completion of various development projects for the sake people in Burkina Faso, contributing ipso facto to the improvement of their living conditions.
Such a wonderful bilateral cooperation nowadays covers all domains of priority for the development of Burkina Faso such as agriculture, healthcare, water management, fishery, education, professional training, promotion of women’s self-employment, infrastructure development, information and communication technologies, support to Burkina Faso institutions, etc. For example the Taiwanese technical agricultural mission to Burkina Faso contributes to more than 34% of the total production of rice in Burkina Faso.
The seventh Session of the Mix Commission for Cooperation held in Ouagadougou from 29 to 30 October 2008 has consolidated the excellent friendship and partnership relations and opened new fields of cooperation.
