Burkina Faso is member to several regional and international organizations. In Africa we can cite among others the following sub-regional and regional organizations:
BCEAO: Central Bank of West African States: 8 member States: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo which share the same currency: Franc CFA.

Brief History of Burkina
The current territory of Burkina Faso has been occupied since 500 years B.C. The first French exploration dates back to 1888.
